Last month, adult film star Stormy Daniels sued her literary agent, Luke Janklow, for wiring a portion of her $800,000 book advance to Daniels' former attorney Michael Avanatti. Daniels' book advance was the subject of a criminal trial, where Avanatti was convicted of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft for directing Janklow to pay him the $175,000 installment of Daniels' book advance. Daniels is suing Janklow and his agency Janklow & Nesbit Associates for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty for failing to pay Daniels her installment.
